Absolutely!
Your suggestion brings to mind 枸 from the popular Chinese medicinal plant 枸杞 and 梭 （related to 织女 or 日月如梭）. They would be another better choice.
怡枸、怡梭 could be good female names (in writing).
But perhaps Chinese parents might not like too much "wood" ingredients in the spirit of the words for gals (just a joke).
Well, perhaps we expect too much from tattoo masters who trained to be skillful in needles and ink, not Chinese literature or translation.
Some of them might prefer less strokes in oriental characters when it comes to tattoo. Less work for them, no?
