Terminological expertise is the core overlap for me May 12

Having done both translation and some interpreting work, I find that terminological expertise and subject knowledge are the most critical skills that overlap between the two.

Whether you're translating a legal contract or interpreting in a courtroom, you need to know the specialized vocabulary of the domain and be able to render it accurately and naturally in the target language. A weak command of domain terminology will undermine your work in both settings.

On top of that, bilingual proficiency and cultural competence are also foundational to both. The key difference is that translation allows you to deploy that knowledge reflectively and carefully, while interpreting requires you to mobilize it instantly under pressure.

They date even back to 2015. Looks like he searched for not closed answers and then added his "contributions", sometimes repeating already given answers.
