By trial and error, I learned to keep work devices/email accounts separate from personal or home devices/email accounts. It is not, however, enough to keep separate machines but to get organized. To each his/her own, but my years of working for software companies and more years reading computer magazines with useful tips persuaded me to arrange work folders in neat folder trees, on a separate drive. Same thing for my personal items.

Currently, the hospital I work for supplied me with PC and monitors, so I keep everything work-related separate. It's also easier to maintain my work PC because I never place items of personal nature, like utility bills, copies of personal policies, etc. in it.

I mainly use my PC for work, but I do have a folder for personal matters. As far as work is concerned, I only use my mobile phone to alert me when an email arrives, if I’m not at my desk. Separating devices isn't practical for me, but I do use different browser profiles: one for work, one for crypto, one for other nerd stuff, and two for more personal topics.
