I often find it hard to resist going deeper than is necessary for the mere execution of the translation at hand, and end up spending additional hours doing that until the deadline becomes too close to indulge. The AI invasion of the web increases this effect on me, making me slower despite, or because of, the sped-up information retrieval.

that IS a very relevant question!

Depends on what kind of 'work' I'm doing - if it's a translation (or anything else) with loose time limits I love to go off-tangent and start exploring related topics.

From time to time it even proves to be very useful for what's immediately needed!
