1. I have more than 30 years of experience as a professional financial journalist/economist writing in both English and Bengali and translating from English into Bengali and Bengali into English as part of professional duties.

2. I also have more than five years experience as a professional freelance translator working in the international translation market through the Internet (since January, 2006). So far I have successfully served American, British, Japanese and Indian clients.

4. I am currently Head of Publishing & Communication at the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) New Delhi since August, 2011.

5. I was Associate Editor working for Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) from July, 2008 to June, 2011.

6. I was executive editor of Cyber Yug, a monthly magazine in Bengali on Information Technology during its formative years - from August, 2004 to December 31, 2005. I continued as Consulting editor till June, 2006. It is today the largest selling such magazine in the market.

7. For 8 Years I was News Editor of The Economic Times -- the world's second largest financial daily after the Wall Street Journal and a Times of India Group Publication -- out of a total experience of 12 years in The Economic Times (1991-2003).

8. For one academic year (2003-04) I taught Journalism - Editing & Reporting - at Jadavpur University, Kolkata under their PG Diploma in Mass Communication programme.

9. For about five years I have worked as an economist at Indian Chamber of Commerce, Kolkata and Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kolkata.
