How does CafeTran handle big projects?

After reading about problems with Trados with projects with 150,000 words, I wanted to see how CafeTran Espresso would perform with projects of this size. Since CafeTran is a 64-bit app, I didn't expect any problems.

After reading about problems with Trados with projects with 150,000 words, I wanted to see how CafeTran Espresso would perform with projects of this size. Since CafeTran is a 64-bit app, I didn't expect any problems.

I used an iMac 2019 with 32 GB RAM:

I've just started working on a slightly big project (about 26,000 words) and CafeTran seems to be happy with it.

However the disconcerting thing is that it only displays the first 1000 segments. What happens when I get to segment no. 1000?

Then the next 1000 segments will be displayed. Seamlessly.

You can set this setting here:

Thanks- that's useful.

I'me having another issue with the Word file that was sent to me.

CT handles it fine during the translation process, but when I go to "preview current document" I get this:

And when I export the document, CT creates a Word file that cannot be opened:

This has never happened before. The original document opens perfectly in Word and the permissions for it are OK.

Your thoughts?

Most likely a tag problem. Please run both tag checks from the QA menu and resolve all issues.
