I am of the belief that I have "nothing to hide". I have a LinKedIn page, which is confined to professional contacts. I have also left the link to my Facebook page on my ProZ profile. I question the wisdom of this, and have contemplated removing the link. On the one hand, people can see how badly my relatives and friends are at punctuation. On the other, it shows that I am a "real person", but I wonder whether this could be construed negatively.

I'm always promoting security on-line. I realize that too many people don't take care enough about it.

What is the added value of Facebook / Twitter etc. for translators (if any)? Any good/bad experience?
