Dear colleagues,

I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Geneva's Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (Transius Centre), researching how machine translation and AI are impacting legal translators in the private sector. The aim of the study is to better understand how these technologies are influencing professional practice and legal translators’ perceptions, with a view to producing evidence of the current challenges and added value of human expertise in the field.

I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Geneva's Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (Transius Centre), researching how machine translation and AI are impacting legal translators in the private sector. The aim of the study is to better understand how these technologies are influencing professional practice and legal translators’ perceptions, with a view to producing evidence of the current challenges and added value of human expertise in the field.

If you work in legal translation (freelance or in-house) and have experience with MT/post-editing, I would love to hear your views! The survey is anonymous, takes about 15 minutes, and is available in English, French and Spanish.
