I have hundreds of multipage pdf documents that I would like to save out as jpg's files. I know I can convert them individually but if anyone knows a program that could do this for me automatically that would be great

This is a freeware PDF reader that I use (and recommend) instead of Adobe Reader. It has fairly extensive "export" functions which let you convert a PDF document to bitmap images in many formats, multi-page or each page as a separate file etc.

I second this! ImageMagick lets you automate the conversion very nicely!
You can write (or most probably find) a commandline script on the ImageMagick site or the Internet that will automate this process. Once you have the script you can just point it to a folder full of PDF files and then let 'er rip!! There's no need to get your hands "dirty"!

I found an online converter where you can convert your PDF up to 600DPI! It's also nice that previews of the output are available, not seen in the online alternatives above. Check out pdfjpg.net

Thank you. I have considered your opinion and tried to play with this Viewer. I'm satisfied how it works. It's true it can easy export pdfs to different types of image (not only all pages, current page or current view, but selected pages or graphics) and add macros if it necessary. Nice and easy to use! Indeed I'll use only it. Also there is very helpful portable version.

not sure about batch converting but you could http://pdfjpg.es/. although coming to think of it before you use that you can fuse all your pdfs into one using something like http://combinepdf.cc/ and then convert the pdf to a single jpg yep that sounds like a plan... See more
