Hi all,
I wanted to know if anyone has some suggestions on how to get work and expand your clients. I am bilingual, but do not have any translation certificate. I have been doing a little translating in the past year, but really want to make it a larger part of my income. Any suggestions? Also, I wanted to know if you think that getting a PRO membership is really necessary to get started, or if it's better to get one later on?

A decade or so ago Proz used to be a good place to get work, but it's quite a while since I found a new client here. Maybe if you have a sought-after combination it's different. If there's a Proz translators' meeting (powow) in Rome, go along, or maybe host one yourself! ▲ Collapse
