Hi everybody, Hope this is the proper place to post my request for help. I have to use old DejaVu TM and TB files but I don't have DejaVu installed on my PC. Could a charitable soul help me in converting those files into TMX for me? Many thanks in advance for your help. Cheers. I think you'd do better if you were to post your question in the forum specifically dedicated to DejaVu issues. | | | pjg111 Local time: 05:49 أنجليزي إلى فرنسي بادئ الموضوع Help needed to convert dvmdb and dvtdb files into tmx | May 8, 2019 |
Thanks, Michael, but I cannot see how xbench can convert dvmdb and dvtdb files into tmx. Please kindly elaborate. Many thanks in advance.

At least .dvmdb files can be opened by an external programme (i.e. excel), when you rename them into .mdb only. From excel you should be able to import the data in your preferred CAT, after you have arranged them the proper way. | | | pjg111 Local time: 05:49 أنجليزي إلى فرنسي بادئ الموضوع Help needed to convert dvmdb and dvtdb files into tmx | May 8, 2019 |

I was not aware of the trick but it works for the TM. I was able to rearrange fields into a text file I will import into my CAT tool. Unfortunately it does not work for the TB (dvtdb file). I still have to find a workout. If someone helpful could import it for me into DV then it would be great! Cheers. Inspired by Matthias' suggestion I played around with the dvtdb file using Access instead of Excel and I was able to arrange fields into a txt file and import it into my CAT tool. So I was able to solve my problem. Thanks to everybody that helped me. Cheers. Patrick

Allows you to create a tab-delimited text file or a TMX memory with the contents of the current search, the contents of a specific glossary in the project or even all the contents of the ApSIC Xbench project. It would be necessary to see if the input files in the formats you mention are supported by Xbench. This software is now available in version 3.0: ApSIC Xbench 3.0, which you can download for a 30-day trial, whereafter a fee is payable. The link to the download site is: xbench.net/index.php/download I hope that this will help, and that I'm not carrying coals to Newcastle From the variety and instructiveness of the contributions, I can see that there are quite a few solutions available.
