Spanish to English: From personal communication regarding corporate entities General field: Law/Patents Detailed field: Law: Taxation & Customs
Translation - English As we discussed yesterday over the phone, I am reiterating that in our country there is no legal entity “DBA”; that corporate entity is legislated in Panama and the Cayman Islands by the USA because these countries attempt to enhance their investments with incentives for the investor, and the US and the UK both recognize it because there exist commercial, political interests in these countries.
In Peru we have the legal entity designated CORPORATION, which consists of creating two or more companies dedicated to different commercial, industrial, or other areas but that are, in their corporate constitution, one and the same, or the companies themselves are responsible for one another’s actions. This legal entity has the advantage that the government and the National Superintendency of Tax Administration [SUNAT] recognize it, although it does not appear in the General Companies Law [la Ley General de Sociedades]; due to their historical de facto creation, there exists a legal distinction accepted by the government.

Translation - English Our historians are vague about whether he gave aid to the Muscovites, who at that time had not yet attained the greatness they later achieved; they limit themselves to saying that he went on to wage war against the Tatars, and though they extol the size and great numbers of their army, led mainly by such a famous and hitherto undefeated captain, they succinctly and in very few words recount their defeat, along with the loss of the better part of their soldiers, the captain barely escaping because of the speed of the horses that he kept in pens. Since, taking into account the battle’s duration, it does not seem possible that this could have happened so easily, but rather only by force, we cannot but attribute this rout, lamented by all as painful and great, to the invincible army and singular military expertise of Timur; his power was incomparably greater than Witold’s. Furthermore, one of the aforementioned authors also makes mention of and reference to Timur with the same brevity and confusion because in that barbarous time, with nations as barbarous as those found on this journey, there was no one who could offer a more accurate narration than this one. The Persian authors did not describe it either, because of the little, if any, information they had regarding the nations and rulers of Europe.
