Lebenslauf

I have a degree in German and Norwegian and can also read straightforward French and Danish.

I have worked as a freelance proofreader and copy-editor since 2000, mostly on English texts but also some in German and Norwegian.

I have done translation work (into English only) for agencies in the UK, Germany, Austria and Norway, for universities and companies in the UK and for individuals. I usually work on general business and marketing texts, but have also translated two books from German and various articles and a poem from Norwegian.

I also check translations against the original texts and now edit translations from Dutch too. My specialist areas for editing are theology, history and languages.

I do a lot of work with overseas students writing in English, to help them polish their texts before submission.
