Bio
I started in the world of translation almost by chance, helping a friend of mine with the subtitles of several YouTube interviews with indie bands. I would never have imagined that this experience would change my life to the point that I left my job of 25 years as a developer and analyst in IBM environments to specialise as a translator. I already had the languages (Spanish - my native language - English and Italian, I'm still studying Korean), so I took a 275-hour course to become a specialist in translation. I researched translation software such as Trados, Wordfast, etc. and while I was doing all this I started working for Gengo as a PRO translator from English to Spanish. Since then almost 2 years have passed in which I have enjoyed and learned about a lot of subjects. Although my strong point in translation is software localisation (due to my previous work), this has not prevented me from specialising in other subjects related to tourism, literature or videogames.
