No debería estar aquí, debería estar donde se califica.
Luego dice que él/ella nació pero sin problemas (sin el uso de suturas/grapas, que son frecuentes en cesáreas). Está difícil de traducir porque a fuerza se pierde lo de "staples" en español, pero yo usaría
"el primer catálogo vio la luz en Sandpoint, Idaho y después
mi madre me hizo ver la luz o yo vi la luz (sin complicaciones) en los Países Bajos. Y así se conserva la "analogía". Suerte.
