Converting tmx in dvmdb memory format Thread poster: Claudia Iglesias

Is any one able to explain to me how to convert a tmx memory in dvmdb format (for DV X3). Thank you very much, Claudia | | | Endre Both Germany Local time: 19:27 English to German Create new DVX TM, then import TMX | Jan 8, 2016 |
Claudia, you just have to open the dvmdb you want to import the TMX into, and then select the "External data" ribbon and then the "TMX in" icon. If you want to convert the TMX into a new TM, you first have to create the new dvmdb in DVX (with Ctrl+N). Endre | | | Claudia Iglesias Chile Local time: 13:27 Member (2002) Spanish to French + ... Thank you very much Endre. I'm a beginner with this version of DV X3, although I bought it long ago. It might need an update. Sorry for asking basic questions. Your answer was so logic that I felt... well, I thought it was obvious, but when I tried to create a TM (Open DV-Memory-specify where to keep the TM) a new view opens, with French on the left and Spanish on the right, as I created it several attempts ago), and then it shuts down, with a message "The ... ... if DVX crashes. Are you using the latest version available from atril.com (build 730 I believe)? With an up-to-date DVX version, if restarting the computer doesn't help, the next escalation step is to deinstall and reinstall DVX, allowing it to repair/replace any problematic files. As soon as DVX is up and running, creating a TM and importing a TMX is really quite straightforward (if a bit slow with large databases – this should be improved in the next build). Hola Claudia, It's so cool to read you, I hope you are doing well! Can you please write to [email protected] and send us a screenshot of the error message? Can you also send me the TMX file so that i can try something? Kind regards, Etienne (your former trainee) | | | Claudia Iglesias Chile Local time: 13:27 Member (2002) Spanish to French + ... Endre, thank you very much for your help and advice. Apparently the problem comes from DV and not the TM, because it scratches before doing anything. I'm so glad Etienne is working in Atril!!! I'll contact you immediately, thanks!
