Is it just me, or is the culture on here simply deplorable? I subscribe to a few boards (unrelated to translating and interpreting) and this one seems to have the most despicable, mean-spirited and hateful posts and sometimes I'm even wary of posting any question because of the *#(@% who might reply. I assumed this was a place where colleagues could seek answers but lately I find that is not the case. Can we get back to the basics, please?

Or is this just in my language pair (SK-EN)

Happened again, today Dec 3, 2013

Despicable comments are made and then the poster removes them before she gets into trouble. So while the post is missing to anyone stumbling upon the discussion later, the sarcastic/offensive message has hit home (has been read by the targets in their email). Happens with CS>EN KudoZ too (guess why).

No, your pair is not unique in that respect Dec 3, 2013

I guess this happens in other pairs, too. Definitely in EnRu.
