Generationswechsel in der Führung der Erdrich Umformtechnik
Mit einem großen Fest wurde in der Offenburger Oberrheinhalle im Beisein der Belegschaft unseres Stammsitzes Renchen-Ulm, zahlreichen Weggefährten, Kunden und Lieferanten symbolisch der „Wanderstock“ aus den Händen unseres Senior-Chefs Georg Erdrich an das zukünftige Führungsteam übergeben.
Georg Erdrich, seit 1977 Geschäftsführer bei Erdrich, geht, nach über 48 Jahren im Unternehmen, in den Ruhestand.
Mitarbeiter, Kunden und Lieferanten würdigten in der Feierstunde gleichermaßen nicht nur seine Leistungen für das Unternehmen, sondern auch, dass er stets ein Mensch geblieben ist, dem Respekt, Fairness und Wertschätzung wichtig sind.
Dr. Christoph Münzer vom WVIB (Wirtschaftsverband Industrieller Unternehmen Baden) bescheinigte Georg Erdrich in seiner Rede „echten Unternehmerspirit“, der ihn auch durch schwierige Zeiten geführt hat.
Mit minutenlangen stehenden Ovationen für Georg Erdrich sorgten die geladenen Gäste für den emotionalen Höhepunkt des Abends.
In einem humoristischen Rückblick kamen viele Wegbegleiter Georg Erdrichs zu Wort, die sich an besondere Momente vom Aufbau der ersten Großpresse bis hin zu einem gemeinsamen Gipfelbestieg des Kilimandscharos erinnerten.
Bei Eintritt Georg Erdrichs bestand das Unternehmen aus 34 Mitarbeitern.
Heute arbeiten weltweit mehr als 1.600 Mitarbeiter für Erdrich.
Josef Resmini vom Gesamtbetriebsrat lobte in seiner Rede die „Leidenschaft, den Willen und den Mut“ Georg Erdrichs in den ganzen Jahren.
Als Dank überreichte er dem scheidenden Geschäftsführer einen von Erdrich Mitarbeitern angefertigten Brunnen sowie einen großzügigen Scheck der Renchner Belegschaft von 3000 Euro zugunsten von „Malaika Children’s Home“ in Kenia.
Georg Erdrich wird sich aus dem operativen Geschäft zurückziehen, jedoch weiterhin an der strategischen Ausrichtung des Unternehmens mitwirken.
Dafür, so Georg Erdrich, werde er in seinem Ruhestand alles tun, „um am Ball zu bleiben“.
Erdrich Umformtechnik bleibt auch in Zukunft in Familienhand.
Sohn Nicolas Erdrich, bereits seit 2001 im Unternehmen, wird gemeinsam mit Dr. Jürgen Simon und Joachim Schulz die Geschicke des Unternehmens weiter lenken.
Dafür, so Geschäftsführer Nicolas Erdrich, werde er passend zum Wandermotto des Abends „den Pickel gerne in harten Stein schlagen für die Mitarbeiter und Kunden, denn Qualität und guter Service haben höchste Priorität“.
Nicolas Erdrich freut sich auf die kommende Zeit:
„Mit unserer unvergleichlichen Belegschaft möchten wir die Zukunft der Erdrich Firmengruppe gemeinsam gestalten und ein stets zuverlässiger Partner für unsere Kunden sein.“
Nach dem offiziellen Teil wurde noch ausgelassen bis in die Nacht in der eigens aufgebauten „Waldlounge“ gefeiert und zu den Rhythmen der Live-Band getanzt.
Mit einem Flashmob überraschten die Mitarbeiter „Ihren“ Georg Erdrich, bei dem am Ende die gesamte Belegschaft in das auf ihren Chef umgedichtete Wanderlied einstimmte.

Generational change in Erdrich Umformtechnik management
During a large celebration in the Offenburger Oberrheinhalle together with the staff of our company headquarters in Renchen-Ulm, numerous partners, customers and suppliers, our Senior Managing Director, Georg Erdrich handed over the symbolic “Hiking Stick” to the future management team.
Georg Erdrich, Managing Director of Erdrich since 1977, retires after over 48 years of service.
During the celebration, employees, customers and suppliers honored not only his achievements for the company but also that he has always remained a person to whom respect, fairness and appreciation is of utmost importance.
Dr. Christoph Münzer of the WVIB (Baden-Wurttemberg Trade Association) described Georg Erdrich in his speech as having a “real entrepreneurial spirit” that also guided him through the tough times.
The invited guests provided the emotional highlight of the evening with a lengthly standing ovation for Georg Erdrich.
During a humorous retrospect, many of Georg Erdrich’s long-time associates remembered special moments from the construction of the first large press to a joint summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
When Georg Erdrich joined the company, it consisted of 34 employees.
Today, Erdrich has a world-wide staff of more than 1,600 employees.
Josef Resmini from the Works Council praised Georg Erdrich during his speech for his “passion, determination and courage” throughout the years.
As a thank you, he presented the departing Managing Director with a wishing well made by Erdrich employees as well as a generous 3,000 Eur check from the Renchen staff for the “Malaika Children’s Home” in Kenya.
Georg Erdrich will retire from the operational side of the business but will continue to contribute to the strategic direction of the company.
According to Georg Erdrich, this will allow him to do everything possible in his retirement ”to stay on the ball”.
Erdrich Umformtechnik will continue to remain a family business in the future.
Son Nicolas Erdrich, who has been with the company since 2001, will continue to guide the direction of the company together with Dr. Jürgen Simon and Joachim Schulz.
Fitting to the evening’s hiking theme, Nicolas Erdrich stated that he would “go the extra mile for the employees and customers as quality and good service have our highest priority”.
Nicolas Erdrich looks forward to the future:
“With our unrivaled workforce, we want to shape the future of Erdrich together and remain a reliable partner for our customers.”
Following the official part of the evening, the celebration continued with dancing into the night to the rhythms of the live band in the specially constructed “Forest Lounge”
The employees surprised Georg Erdrich with a flash mob which involved the entire workforce performing a famous hiking song with a text written especially for him.
