Sounds a bit wordy to me, but this is the sense. Could we have a look at the full sentence to find a way to blend it in more neatly?

From the excerpt, I get the impression that both medications (or at least one) are fairly new. The idea would be that owing to this facttheir further potential benefits have not yet been described. As I said, perhaps it would be easier if we knew what went before.

I suggest adding a full stop in your translation at the first comma.
Añade tambien estudios que comparan otros farmacos para resultados secundarios.
These papers state that the new medications are yet to improve the results of xxxx and have not (been able to) prove(d)...
I think the \"are yet to\" can apply to both and convey the idea.
I also considered \"nor have they\" instead of \"and have not\", but I wasn\'t sure whether it\'s an adequate construction coming after \"are yet to\". Is it?
