Laboratory tests - coagulation (?)
This acronym shows up twice in a list of blood test results:
Paraclínicos: cuadro hemático con globulos blancos 11000, Hb 16.8, PT 10.8 CN 10.2, PTT 24.2 CN 29.5, creatinina 1, ...
I'm thinking it's probably an English acronym since PT (prothrombin time) and PTT (partial thromboplastin time) are used in the English form in this Spanish report from Colombia. And I wonder if the two CN readings after PT and PTT are a correction (CN?) of the PT and PTT? Just guessing.
I don't find anything among the 34 options in cosnautas that seems (to me) to fit this situation.
Thanks for your help.

control normal > control value / reference value
I think this is just about worth CL 3, though 4 might be pushing it. But it seems quite likely to me:
This is from an article by Colombian authors:
"Tiempo de protrombina: 14,9 segundos (control normal 14), TTP: 24,2 segundos (control normal 29,6)."
http://www.scielo.org.co/pdf/rcca/v21n1/v21n1a11.pdf (p. 49 (2 of 4), col. 2
"The normal prothrombin time is 11-15 seconds, although there is some variation depending on the source of the thromboplastin used in the test. (For this reason, laboratories report a normal control value along with patient results.)"

Note from asker:
Bravo (again) Charles. I find lots of confirmation for this online now that I know where to look ... for example one article gives "CN: “Control Normal”, CA: “Control Anormal”, R: Recuperación, VE: Valor Esperado, DEE: Desviación Estándar Esperada, etc. |
And it's going into cosnautas the next time Fernando Navarro does an update :) |

Hi Arslon. Thank you for the reference. It shows 79 possible meanings of CN in English, 18 of them in Medicine. Which one are you proposing as your answer? |

In general, clotting should occur between 25 to 35 seconds. If the person is taking blood thinners, clotting takes up to two-and-a-half times longer.
