As avea nevoie de traducerea cuvantului "rifluri" in limba engleza.

"De asemenea, depunerile aluvionare pot îngreuna săparea de canale şi întreţinerea acestora întrucât pe fundul albiilor depunerile pot forma rifluri, dune sau chiar bare fluviale, care modifică regimul de navigaţie în zonele lor."

Ca urmare a acestor variatii apar anumite forme in care particulele se opresc, ceea ce da nastere la odulatii foarte fine ale fundului albiei numite rifluri. Aceasta forma de transport solid se numeste transport in rifluri (fig.1.b.). Distantele intre crestele riflurilor sunt de cca 10-40 cm.

In natura, transportul in rifluri este vizibil, in special in zonele cu adancituri mici ale albiilor cu fund nisipos.
