Portuguese term
Aldeamento Turístico
Portuguese to English
Law/Patents
Tourism & Travel
definição: meio complementar de alojamento turístico constituído por um conjunto de instalações funcionalmente independentes e arquitectonicamente homogéneas, implantadas num espaço delimitado
That is the legal definition. Equivalent EN term: Tourist/touristic village? I don't like it.

This is effectively a fixed trailer park. An aldeamento is very much bricks and mortar. |

tourist hamlet
A marginally less cheesy twist perhaps? there are hits all over the web, from GB to France, to Iran, the US and Greece...

This was so obviously poorly written by a non-EN native speaker that I am wary of it as a good source. |

Diana Coada (X)
: Also correct. Hundreds of hotels with various facilities call themselves ''aldeamentos'' and they are far from being villages or towns.
