A term on a menu.
The doubt I have is what "gambas" could be.
There is no mention of this term in Aurélio, and although I know that "gambá" is skunk (I first thought "gamba" could be a typo) and "gamba" is leg in Italian, I could hardly imagine either combined with codfish. Any suggestions?
Oh, BTW, the menu is for an official event organised in Portugal.

: Yes, but I would say "salt cod" to distinguish from the fresh fish. I think that's very important. I love the fresh stuff but absolutely hate the salted version in any shape or form!

Comment: "Definitely the best answer. "Penaeus shrimps" a bit too technical for a menu I would say. I have chosen "prawns" rather than "shrimp" due to the European clientele. I will, however, mention the "salted" aspect. BTW, I do hope to try it some day, it has made my mouth water!"

It is important to say "dry salted cod" because any Portuguese or Brazilian recipe of cod fish IS NOT with fresh cod.
