this would match the next word there "lavra" making a reference to "lavrar" (write, draft a document) which also means tilling, cultivating ....how it got related to writing, I have no idea :)

agree papier : The relationship is clear: all writers have to till and cultivate ideas and thoughts to be able to write. Just like artists and craftsmen do. (De sua própria lavra). "Opinion" is the correct legal term for "parecer". Sometimes, statement is an option.

Thanks for your positive feedback. It's always welcome :) Also for the insight on "lavrar" I've always wondered why they say "doc. lavrado em cartório"...this makes sense now.
