Without MORE background information it's nearly impossible to be sure of the intended meaning.
Which intended meaning has certainly NOTHING to do with the the literal meaning of "drafted contract".
EVERY contract is a some point in time a "draft" of some kind - so the literal meaning of "drafted contract" is in fact plain meaningless - as it adds nothing to the meaning of the whole sentence.
Adds about as much information as saying "wet water".
This being presumably a legal term, not some politician's output, empty waffling would be out of place.
Are you sure that your text is not a translation?
I have the nagging feeling that "drafted contracts" is a clumsy translation for a specific type of contracts, but if you want a reliable translation instead of a more or less educated guess, tell us more.
What is being sold? In what kind of transaction? By what type of seller to what type of buyer? |
