Vorzugsweise weist das Verbindungsstück Einkerbungen an der Innenseite auf, in die die Flügel des Katheters einsetzbar sind.
Dabei kann die Hülse der ersten Verbindungseinheit auf den Katheter geschoben werden.
Dies führt zu einer besseren Handhabung der Embolieschutzvorrichtung, da der Katheter fixiert und damit gegen Drehung geschützt ist.
Mittels des zweiten Verbindungsstücks kann eine reversible Klemmverbindung zur Zuführungseinheit hergestellt werden, um Zug- bzw. Druckkraft und ***Momente*** auf die Zuführungseinheit zu übertragen.
