Hi everyone,

I'm translating a short story about 3 poor brothers. In this section, they are playing football with the stones of the fruit they have just eaten.

مصّوا كل النسغ المحیط بالبذور قبل أن یجمعها محمود، ویصفّها على الأرض ویبدأ ببذرة دراق یطیّرها عالیاً، ویشوطها برأسه كضربة كرة القدم الرأسیة، ویصدّها أخوه.

Does یشوطها just mean "shoot", or is it another way to say "header" as the writer then goes on to say?
