This is a GYN text on foreign bodies in the vagina.

It says:

"Quando si parla di corpi estranei in vagina si pensa subito a problematiche infantili o correlate con l’attività sessuale."

I need an Italian native to interpret the term "infantile" for me. Is it meant as "infantile issues" or childhood period ?

I think that it does not relate to childhood as a period in time but the age of women, i.e. young girls. I think it could be expressed otherwise as: si pensa subito a problematiche relative alle bambine, that is why I would propose:
