English term or phrase: Textured hair
The term is used in an article I'm translating for an beauty products website. The writer uses the term to refer to the hair of people of color. It is used in the text to denote how the product has been "especially made for people with textured black hair."

I have not been able to find an adequate equivalent term in Spanish, and some local hairstylists I talked with didn't know about the term. The hairstylists did tell me however, that the Spanish literal translation (pelo/cabello texturizado) is used to refer to hair that has had some treatment done to it. On the other hand, the text seems to imply that "textured" is a type of hair and not a hairstyle.

My question comes from my lack of beauty/hair-styling knowledge in general. Since the original article emphasizes the use and creation of the prodcut to be directly related to people of color, I want to be as precise as possible.

The target audience for the piece is people from the ages of 15 to 50. The piece will be uploaded to their Latin-American website, so I have been using general Latin-American Spanish terms and language.

I'm considering to just go for "texturizado", but I want to make sure before I submit the final work.

Thank you for your time!

cabello con textura natural
Explanation:
Si bien "cabello texturizado" se entiende perfectamente, "con textura natural" da la idea de que el cabello es naturalmente así y que no ha adquirido textura con el uso de productos.

Thank you very much! This is exactly what I was looking for!

I'm just starting as a translator and I was unsure when I first wrote my translation! Now I feel like I should trust my gut more often!

natural state, not result of treatment. What is the non offensive translation of "bad" hair?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you for your response. I considered "crespo" initially, but I felt that "texturizado" was a relatively new term and decided against using it. I appreciate your help.
