justicia propia

Customary law is informal and is geared to the needs of the people it serves. It is not written down and rarely requires reference to broad generalisations or abstractions or to carefully constructed analogies from the past. It is characterised mostly by its remarkable flexibility and pluralism. As indicated earlier, it differs from place to place and ethnic group to ethnic group, and even from time to time within a single area as leaders change. The customary justice system therefore does not emphasise rules for the delivery of justice, such as fairness, nor does it endeavour to emphasise the rule of law.

Justice for its own sake
personal justice
(It's in connection with individuals among contexts of diverse culture.)
The intentions of maintaining social welfare and good health alongside the existing laws and rules on social conduct compared with the reality of the difficulties which may arise among social diversity are mentioned.
"Personal justice and enforced displacement in the community:
In order to analyse this issue, law is recognised as a standard of knowledge as soon as it denotes rules of social conduct (maxims). Therefore it defines the role which is established before enforced displacements, to the personal justice and the rights of native communities (townships), the materialisation of such and the impacts of the application of the differing given justices. This diversity of elements (agents or contributing factors) necessitates a global vision of the reality in which those population groups live."
Legal norms serve as mere statements ideally from 'conduct and law', which, in practice do not become reality, particularly with respect to native populations or communities which could benefit from an effective application of lawful norms or rules.

Discussion
Quite apart from this, I tend to think like you, Taña, "private justice" seems odd in this context, just my personal opinion.

Pistacho's question 31 July 2018 (and a bit of discussion here).
Personally, I don't think "private justice" works here.
