I’ve actually been given a similar leaflet to translate. It looks like there is a new dosage form. I also suspect that this leaflet has been translated back and forth.

Yes It's a feeding tube. I was browsing around; got the wrong method.

Study by several US doctors:
"The doses are to be divided into 2 equal doses and administered orally or enterally by nasogastric or gastrostomy tube. Standard of care will prevail when choosing the mode of drug administration. The tablets must be dispersed in a minimum of 2.5-10 ml of water and ingested immediately or administered by fast-push through a syringe via a nasogastric or gastrostomy tube. The suspension has a slightly acidic taste."

The way I understand this, it means that the patient is given a "quick dose" of medication via the enteral feeding tube. I am fairly confident that "Stoss" in this context does not mean pushing but a dose. Stoss is - rarely I must admit - used for "dose".

Hi Björn, I dont think that's quite right, this is about "administration of medicines via enteral feeding tubes", not IV - it is something completely different. It says "Sonde für Ernährung" in the source, so not quite sure how the IV came up...

I think just "quickly" or "as quickly as possible" might do it, and Stoss means a sudden movement. But have you looked online to see what term the manufacturer uses in English?
