Arabic term

موكّل

Arabic to English Law/Patents Law (general) Commerce
I am aware that the meaning of this word in a power of attorney is "principal", but I
want to know what does it translate to in the context of commercial agency, like
when a company appoints a commercial agent in a certain region.

Context:

قامت الشركة بالتعاقد مع شركة في ألمانيا لتعمل كوكيل تجاري لمنتجاتها
وقد قام الموكل (الشركة) بمخاطبة الوكيل التجاري لاحقاً بخصوص شروط وأحكام عقد التوكيل بينهما

sales representative

I prefer sales representative because it describes precisely the job that the agent is charged of.
