Spanish term
participar en negociaciones o empresas
Spanish to English
Bus/Financial
Law: Contract(s)
There seems to be missing verb between "negociaciones o" and "empresas" in this text:
" I) Emitir y negociar en general con toda la clase de títulos de crédito; J) Adquirir y disponer de acciones, valores y partes sociales de empresas (...), así como participar en negociaciones o empresas con fines similares o relacionados con los objetos arriba mencionados; y K) Llevar al cabo todos los actos y celebrar toda clase de contratos (...)"
Like in previous kudos post, this appears in an agreement to amend corporate bylaws for a Mexican corporation.

Proposed translations
12 mins
participate in negotiations, or for the the benefit of companies
I think that is what might be a logical inference in a case like this.
23 mins
participate in negotiations or endeavors
"empresas" can also mean "undertakings", "ventures", "(business) endeavors". I assume that is the meaning intended here. ¡Saludos!
+1
32 mins
to have interests in businesses or enterprises
Have a look in your Becerra dictionary and you will find that, in addition to "negotiation," the word "negociación" also has the meaning of "business, enterprise, venture, joint venture," etc.
My reasoning for choosing this interpretation here is I usually find that, in these contexts, legal drafters use synonyms to cover the concepts in their entirety, so it would be unusual if "negociaciones" were to mean something altogether different from "empresas", as it would with "negotiations".
You have to look back to "Adquirir y disponer de acciones, valores y partes sociales de empresas" to understand what "participar en negociaciones o empresas con fines similares" actually refers to, i.e., holding a stake or interest in these businesses, ventures, enterprises, etc.

Discussion
Had the Spanish used the word "emprendimiento", this particular sense would have been more apparent than when using "empresa" which now = compañía.
