Je ne parviens pas à trouver le sens de "coating" dans le domaine des encres machine à feuille.

Voici le contexte:

Austria-based xxx, a global folding carton customer for 10+ years, has been growing, and we’ve grown with them—with sheetfed inks, coatings, blankets and chemicals.

given the other items in the same list, "coating" has got to be the material, not the operation, agree on that - a well written text won't have lists of mishmash elements i.e. you won't have one item being an operation/action and all other materials.

@ Asker Whichever term you use, note that here 'coating' (note used as a countable noun) can't possibly mean 'the action of...' (as in 'couchage') but simply 'the substance with which something is coated'; in some contexts, this might be 'revêtement', though here, I'm more inclined towards Abel's 'enduit'.

Abel, j'ai une question sur 'coating': j'ai trouvé 'couchage' dans Termium, qui est une opération qui consiste à couvrir un papier sur une ou deux faces avec un pigment d'origine minérale (par exemple du kaolin) et qui est destinée à améliorer l'imprimabilité du papier.
Qu'en pensez-vous?
