It would be helpful if you could confirm or not, but it sounds to me like this is dripping with heavy sarcasm, so the "high degree of difficulty on that insult dive" might in fact be saying 'cette insulte était trop facile !' — i.e. not difficult at all.
Kwoning this would then help to understand this 'double twist' — I think this must be in the sense of 'a twist in something' (a plot or a tale, for example — in the sense to some extent of a 'tournant'); in which case a 'double twist' might mean some kind of double irony, for example... but we really can't tell without knowing what the situation is, and what has gone before; it might for example help to know who the he is in 'his abdomen'?
I can imagine a scenario where someone is criticizing someone else for not having done something for their late parent, and the first person retorts that they were at least there to perform this unwelcome task. |
