@Asker I agree with Tony about the need for more context and the problem with the preposition. However, as we do know that it is an HR context, an appropriate example of an alternative meaning to that guessed at by Gilou and FXF should be within that context. So, I suggest as an example:

Points of escalation could be points at which a conflict of interest/interpersonal conflict/risk situation becomes more serious and passes from one category to another (e.g. slight > moderate > severe).

Both the existing answereres seem to interpret this as being something that needs to be reported up to a higher authority, which is certainly one possible meaning of 'escalation'.

However, my concern here is that the source text says '...of escalation' — if the meaning were intended to be as I've outlined above, the more usual preposition would be 'for' — something to be escalated upwards...

In the absence of more context, we can't rule out the possibility that this 'of escalation' is referring to some situation that is getting (usually) worse, such as 'signs of escalation of the tensions in the Middle East'.

I would try to give us more context if you possibly can , or failing that, try to look for further clues elsewhere in your document.

ce ne sont pas "points to escalate", comme je l'avais traduit d'abord, mais "points of escalation". Si on lit la source ci-après, on voit que les "points of escalation" If you have 2 or more users that rotate primary and secondary on-call shifts, then you will want to create two on-call schedules and add each of those schedules to a separate level of an escalation policy.

For example:

Leia and Han are on-call.

When Leia is the first point of escalation, Han is the backup, receiving all incidents that Leia does not respond to.
