I say this because it sounds like they want it to sound impressive. But you could just say roofer.

: I think "building contractor" would be a more general term appropriate for a birth certificate. Of course the more specific "roofing contractor" is OK too. But usually I would think of "maçonnerie " as something with stones, "roofing" is broader
