Discussion

Kévin Bacquet (asker) Oct 13, 2008:
Good Practices in organic solvent cleaning systems
• Use of covers and floating systems to reduce the surface evaporation of the solvent when this is not necessary.
• Make sure the height of the safety zone is sufficient.
• Temperature checks on the cooling water in the safety zone above the condensation zone and beneath the waste solvent extraction zone.
• In ventilation, use reasonable extraction capacities to protect workers without leading to unnecessary solvent consumption.
• Keep equipment out of draughts, which can create excessive turbulence above it.
• Control the entry and exit rate of the substrate (parts) in order to control solvent drag and return drips to the starting tank using trays.

What same context, Kévin? I haven't seen your previous questions...

entraînement du solvant

I have come across the use of this word in other contexts, referring to the (unwanted) carrying-over of process chemicals from one stage to another.

Don't know if this applies quite the same in your context...
Note from asker:
Merci !
