Qualifying for Advanced Standing
The MBA degree normally requires a minimum of 60 credits. However, many students receive advanced standing for prior academic work or through "challenge" exams. A student may receive a maximum of 18 credits of advanced standing, i.e., the total of challenge exam credits, graduate transfer credits, undergraduate course recognition credits, CPA credits and PhD credits is limited to 18 maximum credits. All students are required to complete a minimum of 42 credits in residence at Rutgers MBA program. A student may receive advanced standing in a number of ways:
