Portuguese term

avaliação em máquina

Portuguese to English Tech/Engineering Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng
This appears as opposed to the laboratory test, and is run on-site. I don't think that the correct technical term is "on-site test" or "machine test".
On this particular case the text describes the evaluation of a fungicide with which both tests are performed.
****Foram realizados testes em laboratório e em máquina.*****
Change log

May 20, 2007 17:53: Cristina Santos changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"

May 22, 2007 21:27: Susy Ordaz Created KOG entry

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): amj_services (X), sarahjeanne (X), Cristina Santos

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com (asker) May 23, 2007:
Because I thought it was better than the other one, and I chose it precisely to thank you for trying to help. I guess you didn't even deserve the courtesy point :P you're even calling me silly... unbelievable. If you think your option is the right one, why is it that it doesn't appear on ANY technical paper?- Sorry again for trying to thank you.
Susy Ordaz May 23, 2007:
No Luciana I'm being honest. That is the silliest thing I've ever heard: you posted a question, kept one of your options and your still looking for the exact way to translate your term? Then why did you close the question and choose my answer?
Non-ProZ.com (asker) May 23, 2007:
Susy, are you being ironic?? I didn't use any of your suggestions, I kept one of my options, and I'm still looking for the exact way to translate the term. I don't see any room for your irony, I'm sorry.
Susy Ordaz May 22, 2007:
Wow! One whole point! Thanks for your generosity....
