something along those lines,the phrase is a combination of 訝異 abd 神奇 (sorry, i typed in traditional)

~{ED08~} (banging the table) gives reader a more expressive description of emotions, also could connotate a more extreme degree of feelings (eg. in english we use anger vs furious vs rage to illustrate varying degrees of anger); while ~{>*Ff~} could be surprise vs astonishment vs amazement.
