Maat è il nome di una divinità egizia simbolo di equilibrio e moralità, in questo caso credo che il termine sia usato come sinonimo di 'bene' (good) contrapposto a isefet, male (evil)
infatti non dice il cui scopo è quello di soddisfare Maat, ma 'realizzare' cioè fare Maat, fare del bene.
Al momento non mi viene in mente un modo elegante per dirlo, to do good forse?

Nell'iconografia egizia, Maat è rappresentata con una piuma sul capo, che è anche il geroglifico del suo nome.
