Spanish term

patrón de Fe de trastorno crónico

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) Medical report from psychiatry department
Hi all,

I'm translating a medical report from Spanish (ES) to English (UK) and am having trouble with the phrase above. It appears in a section relating to an anaemia test. Please see below for context:

"Segunda analítica corregida: hemoglobina [x]; reticulositos [y], anisopoiquilocitosis leve. Anemia con patrón de Fe de trastorno crónico sin poder decartar ferropia asociada."

Could anyone help please? Thanks in advance :)

Reference:

"anemia of chronic disease" is the exact term

Maybe "Iron pattern suggesting anemia of chronic disease, associated iron deficiency cannot be ruled out". I'm pretty sure "ferropia" is a typo for "ferropenia".

Good luck!
