I'm looking for a suitable translation of "pre-read" in German but maybe it's another term that remains in English?

I've searched online and there seem to be various types of pre-reads but the equivalent I am looking for is in the context of meetings as in the examples here-below:

Man spricht im Deutschen von Pre-Reading Activities oder Prä-Leseaktivitäten, aber damit sind Aktivitäten gemeint, die auf die Lektüre eines Textes vorbereiten. In den obigen Beispielen geht es dagegen um eine Lektüre, die auf einen Kurs vorbereitet.

Entweder liest man es oder überfliegt es nur, um das Wesentliche zu erfassen. Für eine Muttersprachlerin.

You cannot "vorab" lesen. Either you read or you do not. "Vorab lesen" means that you read a text before a meeting, in order to discuss it. Precisely like in your exemple sentences. It is like pregnant women, either they are pregnant or they are not. There is no state to "vorab". Why do you ask if you do not believe the answer?

neutral  Irene Schlotter, Dipl.-Übers.: Ich kann dem (spärlichen) hier kein 'Überfliegen' oder 'Skimming' entnehmen. Es geht um das Lesen von Informationen VOR dem eigentlichen Meeting. Diese müssen nicht deckungsgleich mit den im Meeting besprochenen sein, sind aber relevant.
