Though I have opened a Memo of Deposit myself at a UK bank as collateral for a loan or revolving credit, ProZ translators have never bought it.

I think registering of escrow deposits in the first web ref. may work for the USA whereas, in the UK, escrow is a deposit of title deeds subject to a condition precedent to a mortgage or conveyancing completion and a deposit stakeholder account is too far off the esteemed question.
