French term

boucle haute tension (HTA)

French to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation
Hi,

The context here is the refurbishment of a 20kV network:

"Les équipes mettent en place un nouveau réseau haute tension assurant la distribution d'énergie pour tous les consommateurs..." "L'automate du réseau HT reconfigure automatiquement la distribution d'énergie de *** la boucle haute tension *** pour garantir le maintien de l'alimentation en énergie"

Is the technical term for this in English just loop? MV?

Any help appreciated.

MV loop

Yes, that's really all it needs; and i'm unaware of any more specific specialist term.
As has been covered many times before in KudoZ, there is no exact equivalens in EN for the Frennh terms HTA and HTB; however, since here we know the specific voltage in question, we can confidently include this as 'MV' in this specific context.

Yes, as long as your document is still talking about the same system / the same voltage, you can safely use that.
Note from asker:
Perfect thanks Tony. So throughout the text where it refers to this "réseau haute tension", it would be MV I suppose.
