Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng HF generator for welding press
Hi all,

I was hoping some of you electronics whizzes could help me out.
Does "sección" mean to cut or open the circuit (doesn't make much sense) or is it simply "the section of a line" or "line section"....??
Sorry, the text is not the best, it's an ancient translation from German to Spanish.

El contactor de tecla I se conecta a la tensión por medio de la **sección** de una línea del contacto de conmutación del primer y segundo relé auxiliar, del contacto ruptor del relé de tiratrón y del contacto ruptor del contactor de enganche.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I don't really understand what your problem is. I haven't done any electrical translations for a while, but the ones I used to do always talked about sections of the line…

Perhaps they're talking about "splicing"... But a section is a section, and when used as a verb it also means to cut.
