Again, apologies if this is too simple or obvious a query.
Does this mean something like "first attempt indicator"? (it's the "à 1" bit that's fazing me here).

"Les informations suivantes sont obligatoires:

- l'identifiant de syntaxe et son numéro de version,
- les GLN (lieux fonction) et qualifiants des partenaires émetteur et destinataire du message,
- la date et heure de préparation,
- le numéro de l'interchange.

I think this is a 'flag' that has to be set to indicate something is a test: so if it is '0', it's a real doc, but if it is '1' it's only a test.

'à 1' needs to read as '@ 1' or 'set at 1'

Of course, this is presumably talking about some software at program level; to the user, we would perceive 1 as 'on' and 0 as 'off'.
