My suggestion is based on two elements:
1- You previously reported that the document is Moroccan
2- A few years ago, the Morrocan government launched a program aiming at eradicating illiteracy (while they still encourage it in mainstream schools - but that's another story)
I could have suggested "Session d'étude", but since the program is some sort of a non-conventional, informal, unstructured system, it would be unacceptable to coin it as a "session d'étude".
