"La parroquia de Santo Ourente es la zona principal de fabricación de un singular complemento de vestir, el “sombrero sancosmeiro”, y aquí trabajan la mayoría de las artesanas que se dedican a su elaboración. Antiguamente se empleaba como parte del ajuar de las mujeres para resguardarse tanto del sol como de la lluvia.
